Abstract

We could get the portal hypertension of 247 to 620mm Saline (389.8±161.7mm Saline) two weeks after portal banding and Aorto-Portal shunting with 'Gore-Tex' graft in 4 adult dogs. No changes of liver function test was observed after operation. Gastritis in the mucosa was frequently noted by the gastroscopy after the development of portal hypertension. M.A.O. in gastric secretion was significantly decreased after the portal hypertension, and it increased when the portal pressure was decreased.
