Description
This paper presents the motor manufacturing technology for DC motors which are used for such products as motor vehicles, information machines and equipment, etc.The novel manufacturing technology called Slide-type divided cores has been developed and applied to a DC motor which is used for fuel pump of automobile. Characteristic points of this technology are as follows. (1) One of circular staked cores is slid out in radial direction, as a result, coil winding space is extended and high coil occupancy is achieved. (2) As a stator is assembled by fitting a shaft into a center hole of divided cores, welding process becomes unnecessary. Using this manufacturing technology, the size and weight are reduced more than 40% compared to conventional motors.
