Abstract

We report a 69-year-old man with a perifollicular fibroma adjacent to basal cell epithelioma on ala nasi.He noticed a small nodule on his right ala nasi about 35years ago. Additionary, he noticed a grey-brown fleck inside of the nodule about 2years before, and the tumor has enlarged gradually.<BR>Histopathologically, the small nodule was composed of numerous hair follicles in the dermis, each surrounded by stratiform, concentrically arranged collagen fibers.From clinical and histopathological findings, we diagnosed the small nodule as perifollicular fibroma.<BR>Histopathologically, the grey-brown fleck was composed of basophilic solid tumor nests in dermis.The tumor consisted of basaloid cells, and showed peripheral palisading. From clinical and histopathological findings, we diagnosed the grey-brown fleck as basalcell carcinoma.
