Description
Argon Laser photocoagulation (ALC) has been thought to be useful mainly for treatment of Hemangioma Simplex. Since the treatment was thought to be effective in making the treated upper-dermis replaced by newly growing fibrous tissues, we attempted to treat by ALC two cases with nevus cell nevus (compound type) with cosmetically better results than those surgically incision. In addition to this clinical trial, we took biopies from treated lesions with time after ALC examined them histrogically, and found that the upper-dermis was free of nevus cell being replaced by fibrous tissue, and the nevus cells were demonstrated only in the deep-dermis. From these results obtained in our experience, it may be concluded that ALC is also useful for the treatment of nevus cell nevus.
