Seven cases of acquired syphilis experienced at the Dermatology clinic in Kobe Central Municipal Hospital from January 1974 to December 1980 were reported. There were six males and one female. Their age distribution were as follows, two in the twenties, three in the fourties and two in the fifties respectively. As for their stages, primary syphilis was two cases of chancre and secondary syphilis was three cases of papular syphilide, one case of condylomata lata and one case of roseola. In one case of papular syphilide, cerebrospinal fluid studies revealed pleocytosis, elevated protein and positive VDRL.
