Description

Whether or not the drug-resistance is transmitted between Lactobacillus and Escherichia coli was tested in the mixed culture. The results are as follows:<BR>1) In the mixed culture of streptomycin-resistant Lactobacillus and streptomycin-sensitive E. coli, the drug-resistance of Lactobacillus was not transmitted to E. coli.<BR>2) Also in the case of mixed culture of streptomycin-sensitive Lactobacillus and streptomycin-resistant E. coli, the resistant factor of E. coli was not transmitted to Lactobacillus.
