It was examined whether the single-word intelligibility test was able to catch the change of speech intelligibility by training in adequacy. Before and after training, the single-word intelligibility test was executed for 17 adults with arttcculation disorders and the result was compared with those of the syllable intelligibility test, speech intelligibility evaluation and syllable articulation test. As a result, the single-word intelligibility test was confirmed to be able to sensibly catch the change of speech intelligibility. It was also found that the sensitivity of the speech intelligibility evaluation of five step was low but if it were used as a nine step method including the evaluation of the middle points, the sensitivity would increase.
