Abstract

We studied 6 cases of severe cervical spondylotic myelopathy which consisted of 5 males and 1 females.<br>Their ages at the time of operation ranged from 59 to 78 years old and average was 68 years old.<br>All cases under went operative treatment. The clinical results were evaluated using J. O. A. score of cervical myelopathy and the change of activities of daily living such as eating, standing and walking.<br>After operation J. O. A. score was not improved remarkably. But ADL was improved in all cases and no case became worse.<br>The surgical treatment will be indicated for the severe cervical spondylotic myelopathy in order to improve the ADL and prevent the worsening of the symptom of each case.
