抄録

Between August 1991 and February 1994, we treated 20 femoral shaft fractures. The fractures were classified according to Aoyagi. Femoral nailing was performed on the traction table in the supine position, with the hip flexed about 30 degrees.<br>There were no cases of post-operative infection and femoral shortening of more than 2cm. Bone healing was obtained in all cases followed for over 4 months. Breakage of the implant occurred in one case but in this case union was obtained by conservative treatment.
