Description

Fracture of the tarsal navicular body is an uncommon and complex injury of the midfoot. We reviewed the clinical results of 6 fractures of the tarsal navicular from 1990 to 1999. There were 5 males and one female with an average age of 37.5 years.<br>Follow-up period was 19 months. Three cases were treated conservatively, and the other 3 underwent surgery. All cases achieved bone union. There were 2 cases of necrosis, 3 cases of malunion, and 4 cases of osteoarthritis.
