筆者は日本産のハナバエ科, イエバエ科, クロバエ科およびニクバエ科に属する33属70種の3令幼虫について, その咽頭板, 前方気門, 後方気門, 肉質突起, および体表面の棘分布を調べ.それらの形態的特徴を記載し, 科および種の検索表を作り, 顕微鏡写真を付した.
