Abstract
We examined adhesion and activity of hepatocytes on collagen and chemically modified collagen. Hepatocytes adhered to any collagen surface better than polystyrene culture dish. It was indicated that the secondary structure of collagen and the divalent cations were the important factor in this adhesion. TAT activity of cultured hepatocytes was affected by the difference of materials.
