Fibers having anti-cancer effects (Endotoxin immobilized fiber) Endotoxin derived from Esherihia coli could be bounded chemically to polystyren fiber (LPS-F: 4.5mg/gm). In vivo experiments, Vx2 tumorbearing rabbits were treated with direct hemoperfusion (DHP) using minicolumn contained LPS-F. In experiment I: Suppression of tumor growth and survival rate were significantly effective. In experiment II: 19 ones (17 of them were injected viable BCG before the day) were inoculated tumor cells. After 13 days, DHP were undergone in treated group. Two of rabbits were not treated. Other 5 belonged to control group. Tumor growth were suppressed significantly in treated group. Production of interferon and tumor necrosis-like substance could be detected in the serum after DHP.
