276 cases of "oyster-shucker's asthma" were treated with sea squirt's antigen through the preseasonal period for the prevention of the asthmalike symptoms. Following results were obtained. 1. The efficiency of the preseasonal desensitization was estimated 88.7%; but, concerning the the person to whom the desensitization was applied for more than two months, no definite relation between its duration and its efficiency was found. 2. The efficiency was almost the same to any type of the disease, but concerning the serious case, the efficiency was observed to be reduced to some extent. 3. There was no definite relation to be found between the length of the afflicted period and the efficiency of the desensitization. 4. There was also no definite relation between the patient's age or sex and the efficiency of the desensitization. 5. When the patient was treated by various kinds of antigen liquid abstracted from the sea squirt clinging to the oyster-shell, a high efficiency was attained regardless of their kings. On the other hand, when the antigen liquid was weak, the efficiency was also reduced to some extent. 6. In the case when the desensitization was suspended for more than three months, almost all patients relapsed into their previous condition while they were engaged in the oyster shucking. 7. Subsidiary ill effects of the preseasonal desensitization were remarkably less than those of the seasonal desensitization.
