Abstract
Serum lysozyme activity was measured in 70 patients with pulmonary tuberculosis during the course of 5 months.<BR>The results were as follows:<BR>1. Serum lysozyme activity in pulmonary tuberculosis patients was significantly higher than in normal subjects.<BR>2. Serum lysozyme activity was increased in the types E, A and B of Gakken classification as compared in the types C and D.<BR>3. Serum lysozyme activity was increased in the F. A. and M. A. cases according to NTA classification as compared to Min.<BR>4. Serum lysozyme activity became lower in the cases with chest radiographic improvement during the course of 5 months.
