Abstract
A case of an annular stenosis of the cervical trachea was presented here in this report, seen ina 46 year-old female as a complication of first-aid tracheotomy for traffic accident. End to endanastomosis of the trachea was successfully accomplished after resection of cicatrical stenosis togetherwith three tracheal rings.<BR>Suprahyoid release was done at the same time to decrease an upward movement of the larynxduring deglutition. A gips-bed was effective to hold the head in a slightly bending position. Nasalintubation of a silicon tube was usefull as a stent of the trachea and also to control the lowerairway in some ten postoperative days. Highly humidified inhalation was good enough ot minimize crust accumulation in the tube.
