抄録

Author used 87 rabbits for experiment, and corrosion was produced at the second constriction of the esophagus by an application of 10% NaOH. This was treated with penicillin and cortison to find out the effect of prevention of esophageal stenosis and the favorable time for its treatment.<br>Treatment of corticosteroid for corrosive lesions of the esophagus is desirable to begin as promptly as possible. In the animals treated from 3 days after lapse of corrosion started, a good effect was found only in a few of the animals.
