A 57-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital complaining the bone pain. X-ray films revealed typical punched-out lesions in various bones. A bone marrow puncture showed neoplastic proliferation of plasma cells. Therefore, this case was considered to be multiple myeloma. Mband could not be found both in serum and in urine, but there showed the precipitating line for anti-κ in urine. The myeloma cells showed specific fluorescence to anti-κ in immunofluorescent study, and in addition, atypical morphology. It was considered that the myeloma cells of this case were producing κ-light chain although no significant M-protein was found either in serum or in urine.<br>It was considered that this case was situated between no secreting type and typical Bence Jones protein type and belonged to the “minor anomaly type” myeloma of Imamura.
