Description
The pyroelectric vidicon is an infrared sensitive camera tube which has a pyroelectric target that is electronically scanned for infrared thermal imaging. The target operates at ambient temperature and does not need any cooling system.<BR>Some problems, for example signal to noise ratio, flicker, thermal diffusion, on pyroelectric vidicon applications are explored. Several signal processing for advancement of pyroelectric vidicon are described.
