Description
To discuss a possibility of the natural regeneration after The Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, we investigated the distribution reality of the pine seedling on the tsunami-stricken coastal forest in Sendai Bay. We calculated the number of seedlings according to the age in the quadrat which was set on an orthogonal axis to a coastline in 2014. A direct relation wasn't admitted by the canopy openness and the soil moisture for the pine seedling density. The spatial distribution of the seedling was influenced by the remains tall pine tree as a seed supply tree.
