Abstract

Population dynamics and survival factor of Ruditapes philippinarum in man-made seashores in Tokyo Bay were studied from 2002 to 2003.. The planctonic larvae in the springtime grew to be reproducible in autumn, and spawned next spring. The population of Ruditapes Philippinarum in Kasai was decreased by low salinity due to inflow of river after heavy rain. Though the planctonic larvae of Ruditapes philippinarum were supplied in Makuhari, the juvenile were not ovserved. The strong wave and blue tide affected the decrease of juvenile. The populations of Kanazawa and mouth of Obitu River were maintain stable. Inhabit condition of Ruditapes Philippinarum was various. It was considered that the counter measures for the above problems should be taken to restore their habit.
