Description

The cut fibers of polyester are commonly used in functional paper market. Para-aramid fibers and pulps are also used in the field of high-perfomance paper like the clutch facings in the automatic transmission. One of the most important properties of the para-aramid material is a thermal resistance. Teijin has introduced a new binder of 100% para-aramid fibrids "Jet Span Material (JSM)". Using this new fine material, it has become possible to make a thermal resistant paper. Since JSM shows the excellent filler-folding property, it can be expected to easily produce paper products utilizing the functional powder. It is also possible to add this binder into the polyester sheet as a thermal resistant binder.
