抄録

Usually, the mover in a linear electromagnetic solenoid (LES) is returned by means of the spring force. This paper proposes a self-return-type LES. A permanent magnet is used as the mover, and the LES is designed to return automatically by using the electromagnetic force. The driving characteristics of the manufactured LES were as follows:<br>1. The maximum static thrust was 7.8 newtons, and the stroke was 12 millimeters.<br>2. The maximum flux density along the magnetic path was 0.1 T in iron.<br>3. The maximum response frequency of the LES was 16 Hz.
