Abstract
The image of the meteorological satellite NOAA contains geometric distortions. They are corrected by registration processing. This paper presents an improved method of registration processing between the meteorological satellite NOAA image and the coastline image. The coastline image contains a ground control point (GCP). An improvement of this method is the reduction of processing time. This paper shows the validity of this method through many experiments. It also shows how registration processing can be speeded up depending on the selection of GCP.
