Abstract
In order to investigate the propagation characteristics at high angles of elevation, of microwaves (22.5-23.0 GHz) allocated for broadcasting satellite, a continuous observation with a radio meter at 22.75 GHz has been made since November 1973 similar to the former one carried out at 11.8 GHz.<BR>The main results of observation due to precipitation for the period of one year since November 1973 are shown compared with those at 11.8 GHz carried out since 1967.<BR>The method of evaluation is explained for the statistical propagation characteristics of the microwaves of other frequencies, at high elevation, from the results obtained for 11.8 GHz and 22.75 GHz.<BR>A description is also made on the point of improvement for the new equipment to observe attenuation as high as 20 dBs.
