Abstract

In this paper, the writer attempts to examine the following two points at the inland area in southern Iwate Prefecture. Factors deciding the extent of commuting zone of factory torkers rural regions.<br>Regional characters and their significance depending on the distribution of factories and the conditions of the commuting zone.<br>The results obtained by the re-examination through several investigations are as follows.<br>1) The factors are enumerated in the following items.<br>a. Scale of fctory employees.<br>b. Demand and regional distribution of labor forces. (factory-side factors)<br>c. Acquiring ability of the traffic means.<br>d. The roles on agricultural works and family life. (employee-side-factors)<br>2) Three kinds of regional character are prescribed by this examination on the examination on the examples in the region, i. e. open market (core), do (periphery) and closed labor market.
