Abstract

In a previous paper, we already discussed the hunting of on-off control systems operating on sampled signals. The hunting was analysed by solving piecewise linear differential equations, but in case the transfer function of the controlled element is changed or some other control device is used this calculation must be repeated all over. To avoid this inconvenience we consider a graphical method by which the condition of hunting is made clear. For the construction of the graph are required the describing function of nonlinear part and the transfer function of the linear part. Here we consider only two-position relavs with and without hysteresis. Comparing the result with the one obtained before, we find satisfactory agreement.
