Abstract
The principle, construction and operation characteristics of trially manufactured optical teleprinter designed to get a compact printer which is capable of printing several thousand characters per minute are described. The speed of 16 characters/s which was obtained with this machine was proved to be increased by several times, by raising the natural frequency of moving coil type selection galvanometer, by decreasing the operating time of spacing magnet to several milisecond and by changing the magnetic relays to non-contact relays.
