抄録

In jet pump the maximum possible realization is that Qs, suction capacity, will be twice as much Q0, driving capacity, become of influence of limitation in comparing areas in nozzle and throat. In case of 2-stage jet pump new1y designed, the suction openings at the 1st and 2nd stages shall be connected on an even water level. Further, water sucked at the 1st stage is also utilized for driving at the 2nd stage and this pump has been made for trial purpose aiming at Qs/Q0=4. Experiment was made on this test pump and the following results were obtained. (1) Qs/Q0>4 has been obtained as anticipated, further, efficiency is favourable. (2) The pump having no diffuser at the first stage outlet shows higher performance than that of pump having diffuser. (3) The function at the 1st stage is not influenced upon handling of discharge valve. And also the performance differs extremely by handling of suction valve at the 1st stage.
