抄録

In order to investigate the grinding operation essentially, the cutting phenomena of abrasive grains were studied by means of applying the enlarged theory of two dimensional cutting operations. In the cutting tests at high speed range coming to 3000m/min using the model cutting tool of an abrasive grain, the influence of cutting speed upon the swell-up phenomena, the chip form and the cutting resistance were investigated. The relation between the cutting phenomena of abrasive grains and that of two dimensional cutting tool is cleared from the tests of the oblique cutting and triangular section cutting using the negative rake angle tool.
