Abstract

The reduction of residential energy consumption is a very important issue. Housing plans with a combined living room and kitchen are becoming more common. It is impossible to disregard the influence of the heat of cooking on the indoor thermal environment and on the total cooling and heating load in the home.<br>We conducted online questionnaire surveys to find out the actual conditions of cooking behavior and energy consumption.<br>The results identified the main factors that influence cooking energy consumption and showed that differences in energy consumption varied depending on household characteristics.
