We propose a new type of multiferroic system using magnetoelectric (ME:Cr2O3) material/ultra-thin ferroelectric (FE) materials/a magnetoelectric material heterostructure. This ME and FE hetero system showed a general polarization-electric field hysteresis curve. When a magnetic and electric field (ME field) was applied at the same time, polarization changed depending on the LiNbO3 thickness. This might be due to the magnetic coupling of two Cr2O3 layers by the ME field. [DOI: 10.1380/ejssnt.2013.89]
