Description

Post-inflammatory localized aurotrichia was observed in two miniature schnauzers. Case 1; a 7-year-old spayed female, presented with superficial suppurative necrolytic dermatitis due to selenium sulfides shampoo. Three weeks later, aurotrichia occurred in the occipital area, which was severely inflamed, although the previous skin lesions were improved. Case 2; 1-year-old male, presented with Norwegian scabies. One month later, aurotrichia occurred at the face, pinnae, and rear limbs with severe excoriation, although the previous skin lesions disappeared. In both cases, hair color was normalized in a few weeks.<br>
