Description
This paper is an analysis on various influences of interdependencies to open source software and free software (OSS) in Japan. On one hand, this paper criticizes some previous studies on OSS which simplify interdependencies of OSS developers. On the other hand, this paper focuses on the various characters of interdependencies which were discovered by previous studies about Japanese culture. The previous studies on OSS emphasize the positive side of interdependencies. However, this paper focuses also on the negative side of interdependencies which is insisted by K. Abe. This paper analyzes the interdependencies through an online research. According to the analysis, we can estimate the interdependencies to be influential in carrying out OSS projects.
