Abstract
Groundwater heat pump (GWHP) system has been expected to achieve the higher coefficient of performance (COP) and more energy-saving than the conventional air-source heat pump (ASHP) system. However, it has not come into wide use due to restriction of pumping in an urban district and its lack of recognition as a design method. In this paper, the feasibility study of GWHP system under various locations was performed by using heating and cooling load model in building. In the result, cost pay back time of this system presented that it is efficient where heating and cooling load are balanced.
