Abstract
This paper describes the investigation on effects of facing direction of pedestrian on thermal comfort using the calculation method for evaluating the inhomogeneous and unsteady thermal environment in an outdoor space. This method is based on an outdoor computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis coupled with a multifractional human thermoregulation model. From the results of the analysis, it was found that the incident angle of the solar radiation toward the pedestrian highly affects the inhomogeneity on the outdoor thermal comfort in sunny area.
