Abstract

<p>Morphological characteristics of the butterflies belonging to the Pieris dubernardi-group are examined based on the original descriptions, photographs of the type specimens, and newly obtained butterfly specimens. As a result of the examinations and subsequent discussions, taxonomic statuses of the butterflies are confirmed, and a new subspecies of Pieris dubernardi Oberthür, 1884 from Northern Sichuan is described and illustrated. A distribution map of the group is also given.</p>
