Description

The types of three species of the genus Chamanthedon Le Cerf, 1916, are revised and illustrated, all in the collection of Museum national d'Histoire naturelle, Paris, France: C. hypochroma Le Cerf, 1916 (the type species), C. xanthopleura Le Cerf, 1916, and C. melanoptera Le Cerf, 1927. The lectotype of C. hypochroma Le Cerf, 1916 is designated. A redescription of Chamanthedon with a brief discussion of its composition is presented. Genus Eudiakonoffia Fletcher, 1982 is synonymised under Chamanthedon Le Cerf, 1916.
