The main purpose of this study was to classify types of unwilling matriculation to college, and to examine the factors of maladjustment to college. Five questionares were administered to 551 male and 478 femalecollege students. Questionnares: (1) on the satisfaction with college life, and (2) on the situation of aplication for their colleges, (3) on the reasons for their selection of their college, (4) SD scales of [Image of general college students] [Image of students in their own college] [Self-image], (5) Self-fulfillmentscale. The results were as fellows: Four types-'satisfaction', 'disapointment', 'acceptance', 'dissatisfaction'- were classified. It was made clear that one should think over what department is fit to his interest, and select college on his own will, in order to adapt to his college life. Some of those dissatisfied with their college, had done college selection, solely according to their deviation values of accademic records. Their self-fulfillment scores were low, and their images of their own college students were negative. The discrepancies among three images of 'dissatisfaction' type, were bigger than those of 'satisfaction' and 'acceptance'.
