説明

In the case of impact analysis by numerical code to verify structural integrity of existing steel structures of nuclear power plants against the tornado missiles, one of the strain-base criteria regarding aircraft impact on nucclear power plants described by US NEI (Nuclear Energy Institute) is currently used. However the technical bases for this methodology are not disclosed. In this report, in order to clarify the penetration conditions for steel plate when the tornado missile crashes steel plate and verify an accuracy of design methodologies, drop impact tests with carbon steel and stainless steel plate specimens and two heavy weights which have rectangular pipe nose shapes of 25cm x 25cm and 16.0mm or 4.5mm wall thickness are carried out.
