Abstract
Examination of rinsing effects in fabric washing are important contents on both education concerned with the washing process and environmental science, such as resource and energy savings and environmental pollution, in homemaking education. The rinsing effects were examined from the standpoint of environmental science. As teaching material to detect the synthetic detergents for clothing, we applied the trial conductivity meter. In the batch system, the number of rinsing, that is, the amount of water required in rinsing increased, as the water contents of fabrics after washing and the amounts of detergent used increased. By using this instrument in teaching, pupils and students will be able to learn the contents relating to washing and environmental science effectively.
