抄録

Tactile impression of 20 types of cushions filled with beads was estimated by the sensory evaluation of SD scale. Factor analysis and quantification theory I among multiple classification analysis were applied to the results of the sensory evaluation. Three main factors were obtained and we named them the sense of security, the fit feeling, and simplicity. The sensory evaluation results for each sensory word were explained by the score of the item/category (type of covers and beads). The relationship between the sensory evaluation results and mechanical properties of expanded plastics beads were also examined. Smaller expanded bead was related to goodness of touch feelings.
