- Refresher Education for Engineers using Shinshu University Video and Data Network System

In recent years, the refresher education for engineers in industries has become increasingly important in Japan. We have opened extension lectures intended for local engineers.<BR>In this paper, Shinshu University Video and Data Network System (SUNS) is explained and the survey of questionnaires on distance education of extension lectures using SUNS is described. The results of the survey indicate that engineers in local areas will have an increasing need of distance education. The conclusion is drawn that the distance education system using together SUNS and INS-NET 64 will serve for engineers located in a wider region.
