Abstract
The purpose of the present paper : As the first step to this study, the author produced a stepless adjustable-speed drive having a lame reduction-ratio and measured the horse-power transmited by the drive. He then de research into the efficiency and trarssmission theory of it.<BR> The results of this research :<BR> (1) When the stepless adjustable-speed drive uses a differential gear with cone-belt, we can mechanically change the output revolution speed to at least 1-2000 r.p.m. from the input revolution speed of 1 500 r.p.m.. At the same time, we can get an efficiency of 80% or more.<BR> (2) By using cone-belt, the slip-loss becomes lamer as the output horse-power increases. It is, therefore, possible to improve the efficiency of s. a. s. mechanism by exchanging the cone-belt with P. L. V. chain system.<BR> (3) Finally, it is possible to make this driving mechanism usable on textile machinery.
