Abstract

The author had reported with regard to the quantitative analysis and metabolism of oxalic acid in fish muscle.<BR>The present investigation was undertaken to urinary excretion of ascorbic acid metabolites, especially of oxalic acid. A colorimetric determination of oxalic acid reported by Bergerman and Elliot which consist of Indol-reagent to yield a pink or red color, was examined in detail and improved in several points.<BR>Satisfactory results were obtained when improved method was applied to the examination of oxalic acid in urine.
