Description
Current problems of the composite structures in the architectural engineering field, which has been analyzed through the activity of Steel Concrete Composite Structures (SCCS) steering committee of Architectural Institute of Japan (AIJ), are described. The utilization situation of the composite structures in Japan and studies on the concrete encased steel (CES) structures and the composite structures using FRP materials which are new proposed composite structural systems are also introduced.
