Abstract
In Matsue urban areas, Workplace Mobility Management (MM) has been implemented continuously since 2007. In addition, Matsue has been carrying out “No Car Week (NCW)” since 2009 in order to spread the MM to the whole citizens. In this paper, we clarify some important effects of continuing workplace MM. The first effect is easing traffic congestion (ex. traffic volume and traffic jam). The second effect is attitude change and behavioral modification by establishing “Matsu-ECO Plan (Workplace travel plan)”. The third is heightening consciousness toward town management by the ongoing implementation of the MM.<br>These results show that the following. First, the traffic volume reduces not only during the NCW but also the normal times. Second, “Matsu-ECO Plan” stimulates participation to NCW. Finally, the ongoing efforts of the MM heighten consciousness toward town management.
