Abstract

This study was inspected about influence of the hump which is set in short section consecutive. As for the hump, it has been studied the effect through various experiments so far. The study about consecutive setting of hump was performed in 2006 in order to make the residential area calm in road safety, but some outskirts inhabitants pointed out outbreak of the noise with the experiment. Therefore a continuation setting experiment of the hump at the short distance interval was carried out in 2009 so as to confirm the detail of noise outbreak and effect with the hump.<br>As a result, through the experiment in the narrow streets enclosed in houses, it was able to confirm the speed-controlling-effect of car throughout the considerable distance and the restraint of the noise and the vibration enough by installing humps by the setting method in this experiment. In addition, many neighborhood inhabitants expressed an opinion of the agreement for the experiment in questionary survey. The experiment result showed the possibility that it is realized to install hump in the residential area very much.
