Description
To estimate the air safety, it is more reasonable to calculate the collapse probability of the structure than to design it by the safety factor. This paper treats the probability of fatigue collapse of fail safe structure, especially of the redundant structure of the first order. It is shown that it is possible to limit the probability of collapse to a lower level by regular inspections and the probability is the function of the length of inspection intervals.
