We study on the high-speed spinning performances of 40's cotton combed yarn using the new travellers and the new automatic controller for the spindle speed within the chase lift as well as between the build-up amount.<BR>The main results are as follows : <BR>(1) The newly developed travellers, which are specially plated with nickel, ultra-thin in thickness and have half-rounded cross section, have the advantages in high-speed spinning.<BR>These travellers can realize high-speed operation, i.e., 43m/sec in traveller speed.<BR>(2) The automatic speed controller with case lift as well as between build-up amount is effective to realize the more high-speed opertion. This controller lessen the influence of changes, in winding angle and ballooning stretch. It can realize the more high-speed operation, i.e., 46 m/sec in traveller speed.
